Linda in Triathlon

Linda and her friend Michelle were in a Triathlon today. They came in first in their age group, second in overall female team and 7th in overall team field!!
It was very exciting and they got a trophy. It was soooooo much fun.

Birthday

Doesn't this look like my finger is on fire? It isn't! Loved my cake that Becky got me. A great birthday celebration that went on and on. Nice to be 65 (I think).

This past Fri. Dick and I stayed at Marcia and Jack's overnight. We had a wedding on Sat. in Sandwich. Becky and Jerry along with Elaine and Rachael came for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful supper and cake for dessert. It was quite chilly out -- so a fire was part of our cozy night. My birthday keeps on giving! I have had about 3 parties and I LOVE it. Only one cake and thats a good thing.

Birthday dinner

Tonight Laura, Jim and the kids took Dick and I out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We went to "The Rice bowl" (I think) early and then out for ice cream.
I got gifts from the whole family and it was a beautiful night. I'm afraid that summer is really over even though the ice cream store was very busy. To bed early for the kids ---School tomorrow !!!

Birthday

Next week I turn 65. I can't believe it. I grew up in a time when life was easy and

uncomplicated. We could play out all day and our parents never had to worry.

We had NO cell phones, computers, ipods, HD, central air, digital anything, microwaves etc..... I don't know if it was better, but it was actually more fun. I would like to make another 65 yrs. but that isn't too practical. So........Happy Birthday to me. I would like a "bought'n cake" with pink roses.
