Mack

I took this picture from my car to Chris's waiting for the rain to stop inorder to watch a baseball game. I thought it was a cute picture of Mack so I am posting it for all to see. Looking at the rain drops you guessed right----the game was canceled. They played the next night and Chris pitched. They won!!!

Visit from the Roan's

In The Hot Tub
Fooling around

Today Laura and the four kids came down for a swim and lunch in the pool. As usually happens ,it clouded up and looked like it could rain. when that happens the hot tub is the main attraction. We ordered pizza from Sokos with french fries and ginger ale. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Jimmy and I went to the Bass sporting store at Patriot Place. What a great store!!! We spent almost 2 hours there, and could have stayed longer. I have never seen soooooo much stuff for the "outdoor man" (woman too).

Nichols and Julia's visit

Ballet in the pool

Today Nichols and Julia came over for a day with Papa and CeCe. We started out at 9:00 at I Hop for breakfast--with Julia and Nichols both getting chocolate chip pancakes. We later came back to the pool for 2 hours of swimming and using the hot tub. It was beautiful out for the morning and we took advantage of it before the storms came. In the afternoon we all went to the ceramic store to paint a cup and a plate (Patriots). Julia worked hard painting the cup for her Mum (don't tell). Pops and Nicholas both worked on the Patriot plate. Stopping to see Dad at work was the end to a wonderful day. I hope we can do this again. They are the best kids, and we all had so much fun.

Visit to the Cape

I know this is a very blurry picture, but its the only one I have. The first week of June Pops and I went to Dennis with Dena and Kerry. Dena, being from Utah, had never seen the Cape. This is us at the National Seashore. Very windy. We stayed at Marcia and Jack's house for two nights. On Sat. we all went to "P" Town for lunch and shopping. It was a perfect day -- not too hot or too cold. Lobster Rolls, chips, soda, and later ice cream made for a wonderful day. That night we went to the harbour for MORE lobster rolls, clams, fish and chips, and beer. I thought we had a great mini vacation, and THANK YOU MARCIA AND JACK!

Chris pitching in play off game

Tonight Pops and I went to watch Chris pitch the first game of the play offs. For 10 and 11 year olds, they only pitch 3 innings each. It was a close game, but the Royals lost 7-5 in the final inning. It was tied 5-5 right until the end. I thought it was fun to watch Chris pitch, and it was my first game seeing him on the mound. They just started putting him in that position, and even though he didn't win, I thought it was exciting and he did a good job. Chris is a big strong boy that will be a great ball player!

Last day of School

MACK

JAY AVERY,MACK, CHRIS

Today was the last day of school for Chris and Avery. They came over to our condo and went for a swim and sat in the hot tub. It was quite cloudy and a little cool, but they had fun for about 2 hours. The hot tub was just warm, and they enjoyed going from the pool and then the hot tub. Cute kids, and some fun on a cloudy day.

Father's Day

Today was Father's Day. This isn't really a picture I took on that day, but its a good one. The Smith kids and grandchildren came for a cookout at our condo (all but Rick, of course---he's in Japan). We had the usual hot dogs and hamburgers. It was raining in the morning, but it stopped in time for Kim and Paula to cook the "goods". Relaxing in comparison to the busy Fri. and Sat. we all had. Watched the Red Sox, ate, and played on the computer. All in all a good day.

Dancers at Julia's weekend recital

This is a video of older girls at Julia's recital. They were wonderful and the dance number was exciting and difficult. It is worth seeing!!!

Julia's weekend of Graduation and Dance

This weekend was a very busy one. Julia graduated from Little Blessings Kindergarten, and she had her dance recital. Both events were such fun, and she was the "star of the day." Her school does a wonderful job, and I know this is TRUE because Dini said so..... Dini loved Little Blessings, and she will miss Julia going and all the friends she has met there. Next year Gianna will go ( see her peeking out behind her sister?). Both Nicholas and Julia have loved their school. On Sat. afternoon Julia had her dance recital at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Her dance was Wild Thing an it was adorable. She is a wonderful dancer for her age, and we were all there to watch. I wish I was a young mom again!!!!

Summer Lacrosse and Baseball

Jimmy had a game tonight at the High School. It was probably the hottest night I can remember. I don't know how the kids ran around the field for an hour. I was hot watching them. I'm not sure who won, but each time I go to any of the games I think how big the kids are getting. Lacrosse is a fun game, but very rough. I thought hockey was bad!

Tonight, June 10th Pops and I went to see Matthew's game and Jimmy's Lacrosse game.

It was very, very hot and everyone was roasting bringing water and watermelon. Matthew has a new batting glove, and wrist band. He is a real pro. and knows the game very well. It was a fun night as always.
